i am pretty proud of my oldest son. he has been working on getting his eagle.
he decided to beautify the mormon battalion monument. it was pretty run down- overgrown with weeds, trash, and not very nice looking.
he wanted to put in some benches.
here they are, building the forms for the benches.
getting ready to pour the concrete
the day of the project.
it was beautiful day. sunny, not too hot.
we had a good amount of helpers show up.
things went pretty smoothly.
weeds were pulled up, trash cleaned up. we put down weed barrier and then shoveled 13 tons of rock on top of the weed barrier and all around the monument.
we also installed 2 concrete benches.
it was really neat seeing the entire project come together. k really worked hard getting things organized and putting the project together. we got some priceless help from so many.
kudos! we can't thank everyone who helped enough. couldn't have done it without everyone's hard work. nice job K!
