Easter Outfits

I had J's easter dress all ready for her, then I went to Target.  I found the dress on sale for 12.00-I couldn't resist getting it.  She looked like  a princess/ flower girl- just soooooo girly, it was too cute and so much fun to have her in it (maybe a bit much for easter, but I couldn't pass up such a great dress!).  She didn't love it at first and kept pulling on it like she wanted it off, I think she finally got used to it.  Something about J and G, they HATE having their pictures taken, well, maybe they don't hate it, they just hate holding still for it, so we tried to get pictures of the kids, here's the result....

Coloring Eggs

The kids, of course, had a great time coloring easter eggs-G really got into it!  I think he dipped and colored the same egg about 15 times ( it ended up being a really weird green-orangish color). He also managed to break 2 eggs, to which he would promptly reply, 'oh, sorry!'  It was so funny.  J just ended up dumping a cup of colored water all over her and the table.  K had a great time and even ended up blowing the insides out some eggs when we ran out of hard boiled eggs.

Nature Preserve

We tried to take the kids to a nature preserve on Saturday to go snowshoeing, we got there and it was still closed (although I swear that their website said it was open).  We just walked along the trails with the kids, they had a ball-no snow shoes required :).

March

This month really did come in like a lion and we are in turn hoping it goes out like a lamb!  We have had more snow this month than any other previous months which is pretty depressing realizing that spring is only a week away.  We received 20 inches of snow in about 2 days, which meant for endless shoveling and endless playing in the snow-so we've tried to make the most of it.  Sledding and shoveling have been seen a lot around here.  C went out to shovel and I looked outside and saw him and our neighbor building a tunnel through a huge mound of snow that they had shoveled-at least K had fun!  G looked out the window and saw the huge mound of snow and said, "Look mom, a mountain!"  You know you've been gone from Utah too long when your 2 year old thinks shoveled snow is a mountain!  We are hoping for a drier April!

Our Family

This picture was taken in the freezing temperatures, poor J had her little short sleeves on and we were all in sweaters-bbrrr!  I think J's face is actually frozen and hence-expressionless!  Next year, we're opting for a picture during the summer months!
