no matter how many times i do it, i don't think i will ever like it. saying goodbye.
it really is the hardest thing.
this was a funny relationship. last year C would have nothing to do with her older cousin. this year, she couldn't get enough of him. she would chase after him and call his name. she always wanted to hold his hand. it was so funny.
these two were cute little friends
these two little gals broke my heart when they said goodbye. i have never seen two girls who were more similar in personality than these two. they are two peas in a pod. they love the outdoors and exploring, they are both really responsible and helpful. when they said goodbye to each other, they both just started crying and hugging each other and promised to write. it broke my heart.
we hated saying goodbye to these cute little boys.
great cousins/great friends.
on our way home we stopped in winter quarters. it happened to be the 24th of july.
i thought it was an amazing place.
the kids loved seeing where and how the pioneers would have slept
i think they would have made great pioneers
this temple was so pretty
there was a great tribute to the pioneers who lost their lives. it was very tender and touching. my heart was full of gratitude as i reflected on the many sacrifices that were given by so many for religious freedom.
crossing the great mississippi.
all in all, a great trip. we loved driving across our country and seeing the beauty and workmanship of our Heavenly Father's hand. It was truly an amazing experience.
