petroglyphs

we took a great hike and saw some amazing petroglyphs.
it was pretty neat to see and a great day to get out and explore NM.

what better way to end the hike than with snow cones.

daddy also tried showing the kids some sick skills and ended up on his back

spelling bee

how do you spell fulfilled.
g will never forget ;)

This awesome kid of ours was in the school spelling bee.
he did amazing. he was confident and so excited.
he got out on the 4th round. there were 28 kids. a lot of them got out on the 4th round.
i was so pleased in how well he did.
really proud of him.
great job!

SNOW

here we are, freezing and getting snow in buffalo.
WAIT! this isn't buffalo, this is NM! What?! snow in november.
i didn't sign up for this.
as sad i was, C couldn't have been happier.
She ran outside as soon as she saw it. then she realized it was cold, and came in for her hat to keep her warm (sun hat ;)

i picked her up from preschool. she walked out the doors and automatically started trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue. i love how this girl loves life and embraces it

a couple random pictures

i love that i get this girl all to myself in the mornings.
she is so funny, sassy and so full of joy.
she loves having little tea parties when the older kids are at school
the other day i got to have a little date with my 2 young ones.
we got sonic and headed to a park.
they played and played and had an amazing time.
love that we have had so much sunshine lately.

the other day c got all these cups on her feet and said, look, i'm a moose
i loved the pattern in these clouds.

zoo

i was so lucky and got to go with my sweet b on a field trip with his class to the zoo.
such a fun time. we hadn't been before. it was fun to see him interacting with his friends and having such a great time with them.

lets go fly a kite

so, G's teacher this year has him wrapped around his finger. there are many reasons why, one in particular is friday. they get to earn classroom dollars and then on fridays they can buy an array of things his teacher has bought at yard sales.
this friday G bought a kite.
he was so excited to try it out and such an amazing night for it.
it was so much fun watching them working together and getting it working.

fall

this fall in new mexico has been pretty amazing.
lots of yellow all along the rio grande. so pretty. i'm not going to lie, i'm surprised at how pretty it has been  here.

i was trying to get a picture of the yellow trees and didn't turn out so well..

c came down one day looking like this. I asked her what she put on her face. she said , 'nusing' i showed her her reflection in the mirror and asked her again. she said , um, make up.
it was a doozy getting off. she went to preschool all pink cheeked.

this cute girl fell asleep on her way home from preschool. i thought she was just kidding because there was a song on the radio that talked about going to sleep. little did i know it was her nap time lullaby

it was a gorgeous saturday a few weeks ago. we met up with another family and headed out to find some geo caches.
the kids found about 7 or so. they loved it. it was an amazing day.

kids had a blast exploring the area and finding some cool trails.

mud mud mud

its been a long time since these two got into a big mess, until last sunday.
these two went outside and got into a huge mud puddle.
B even decided to fill his entire fleece lined crocs with the mud as well.
they were a little shocked that we told them it wasn't ok to do this anymore.
love these two mess makers.

october and fall stuff

we visited a local pumpkin patch.
kids had  a ball.

they loved playing in the corn dig

they all decided to go down the slide together. made for a crazy landing!

we also had the annual tradition of pumpkin carving. my two oldest boys wore gloves to protect their delicate hands ;)
no gloves for this girl. love her!

finished products.
 spookier view.

we had parties galore. c got to have a party in her class. she loved that she got to wear lipstick

getting ready for the ward halloween trunk or treat
g wanted a halloween party with his friends.
we had  a blast.
we played tons of games, had pizza,
ate doughnuts off a string and watched the old disney ichabod crane.
we kept the boys moving. there was a quick comment, 'lets go get the nerf guns' i quickly redirected to our next game.

 trick or treating game.
i loved watching b an c this year.
c kept saying, i gotta run fast with everyone. they ran to every door. at one point, c said, i'm done. i have enough. and then got a piggy back from me or daddy for the next 20 minutes. after her rest, she was ready to go again.
they were so fun to have.

and all the candy.
so much. they are still enjoying it.

these are their rejects. daddy and i have been enjoying them as well ;)
