Happy Halloween

Ward Halloween Trunk or Treat-G decided he no longer wanted to be a pirate, but a dinosaur
J was also suppose to be tinkerbell, but she decided to be a princess, I think she looks great!

Nothing is better than a doughnut on a string

The trick or treating gang
In keeping with Halloween tradition, G gave up after 2o minutes of trick or treating. He sat on my shoulders while the rest of the kids got candy. He has no desire for any more, perfectly content!
Two Halloween cuties

Eating one of the few pounds of candy J got and making a mess

The funniest thing about Halloween is what my kids choose to 'discard', this bowl is what they didn't want. They keep the dum dums and smarties and throw out anything chocolate.
Love it!

Great Pumpkin Farn

One freezing night this week, we took the kids to the pumpkin farm. We already had our pumpkins, but the kiddos just wanted to go and play

Playing around in the gigantic tube

The best part of the night was hot chocolate and doughnuts and Tim Hortons! Delicious!

Pumpkin Carving

The only reason K has his hands scooping out seeds is because I dared him to do it.
In keeping with family tradition, my kids refused to scoop the guts out.

Except for J.
She was a little timid, but she did it still and giggled when she did.

Making spooky faces for the camera

The final product and they are so pleased!

(G and J opted to carve the small pumpkins G got on his field trip to Becker Farms.
Thanks! That would have been a lot of scooping!)

J's 3rd Birthday

Pictures from J's Birthday

We always have the tradition of putting streamers down from the kids door for their birthday, they love it
Three years old!!!!!!!!!!

Opening presents

Loving her princess dress

What birthday isn't complete without a trip to chuckee cheese

Blowing out candles
such a fun day!

Picking Pumpkins

We were one our way home from our adventures on columbus day and we passed a road side cart on an old farm. They had pumpkins for sale, I drove past and noticed the sign said $1-WHAT. I turned around and the kids picked their pumpkins for Halloween

They each found their perfect pumpkin

Columbus Day

We celebrated columbus day picking apples in the freezing cold.

The whole gang
(i love this picture, especially L grabbing J's face and turning it toward the camera)

It was really croweded picking apples, we decided to explore around. We went to Golden Hill State Park. We were hoping to find some food on the way, but there was NONE. It was all back roads. We got there, so we rummaged through the cars, found some questionable granola bars and emergency water and rationed it between the kids. This light house was gorgeous!

Searching for treasures on the beach

J showing me some bugs she found

Very cold, but still fun

Pennsylvania

A couple weeks ago, we headed to the beautiful state of Pennsylvania.
It was GORGEOUS! C and I both kept saying, this place is amazing!

The Fall leaves were in full colors

G and J had a great time jumping on the bed

and climbing in the trees

On the banks of the Susquehenna River-it was beautiful

throwing rocks/ sticks/ and anything the kiddos could get their hands on

J was getting a litty un-ruly in the car so I told her to get out her binoculars and see if she could see a river-it worked!

wish this was in focus, we saw the creediest flourescent yellow spider at a park

playing around

one of the things I loved the most about this place were these bright white old churches that were found all along the road ways, I couldn't get enough of them, I kept trying to get pictures from the car, it never worked.
One funny thing about this trip was J kept thinking we were going to a movie or something. She kept asking if we were going to get popcorn and a drink when we got there. She kept asking when we were going to get to PA (we were already there) and where the popcorn was. It was a beautiful area!

eeewwww, so gross

One thing that you may find surprising about this cute little pink loving girly is that she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES potato bugs,
here she is so happy about her findings!

I can't tell you how many times she comes to me with her hand FULL of these little crawling things. She loves it! She started crying when I told her that the potato bugs can't come inside the house, that they have to stay outside. There were HUGE crocodile tears streaming down her face. That didn't stop her from putting them inside her jacket pocket and bringing them in. I found them and had her empty them out-of course outside. I thought all was find until 30 minutes later, I walked by her hanging jacket and saw one crawling on the outside.

This little girl loves her creepy crawlies!

More amazing news...

G learned to ride his bike without training wheels.
C took them off about 2 months ago, and he has been riding ever since.
We knew it would come easy to him, he's one of those kids that has great coordination and balance-he's been on the move since he was born.

Ride hard little man, dad has big plans for you!

G's field trip

So here we have the much anticipated pictures.
Us on the wagon ride, he was SO excited for.

Eating the juiciest red apple he could find.
They all got to pick 5, plus one to eat.
Delicious! Finding the perfect pumpkin

G and his little friend

I can't believe he actually let the goat eat out of his hands.
He's kinda like me, germaphob.
