a week after visiting utah, my family always takes a trip to moab.
it's always such a great time.
my older brother researches new places and takes us on all sorts of adventures.
there is always hiking, swimming, shopping and some mountain biking.
my 74 year old dad is a trooper. this was a 7 mile hike. his knees aren't as young as they used to be, but he made it.
this is heading to corona arch. hike up steep incline with cable, blah blah blah. i stayed back with my little pal C, i was worried she wouldn't be the best listener ;)
moab is a place of beauty you wont find anywhere else.
it's red rocks and amazing arch formations are breathtaking. I remember when we moved back east, i was so sad at the thought of not being able to share moab with my kids.
they have come to love it's beauty as well.
what does cooking for a small herd of people look like-voila!
kids always love the hot tub after a day of hiking
a tradition- night hike to delicate arch.
i have yet to go (hooray- no bats for me!) i always stay back with b and c
we love hiking with cousins!
feeding the masses
c on top of the world
the older 'boys' showing off their amazing athletic ability.
it's really quite impressive.
to get up to this point, you must shimmy your way up a very small crevice, it's amazing everyone made it up.
cowboy hot pots. have to admit, they weren't so 'hot'- but kids had a fun time swimming around and cooling off
kids really wanted to go to windows. we headed over the morning we left. it was perfect. no crowds and cool temps.
moab holds a special place in my heart for sure.
come visit!
