hanging out

this gal got all bundled up for our 100 degree weather

 this little mister cooled off with a nice piece of watermelong

 we stayed cool while playing around in an indoor gym

 then we had a nice picnic outside... the kids favorite

 ended the day playing in the pool

we are in a heat wave.

you know you're in for it when you wake up at 7 and it's already 73 degrees.

most days is pushing 100 with humidity! phew.

we went to the splash park to cool off.

the kids had a blast.

 c was pretty timid...but warmed up in a couple minutes

 drinking fountain/splash park. both work.

(i kept pushing her mouth away)

 when daddy got home from work,

we went to a pool to cool down some more.

 the kids loved going down the slide.

 g was pretty proud of himself because he did it without a floatie

J did too- just not when i had my camera out.

 this girl just kept running all over.  

from pool to pool to pool. 

it was exhausting.

 B was soooo tired.

fun family home evening

some friends of ours hosted a talent show for family home evening.

it was a fun night.

we had a mime, solving a rubix cube, magician, piano, j hula hopped, g did cartwheels, it was fun.

i think the kids were most impressed by our friend. 

he used to juggle on the boardwalk in ocean city.

 he rode his unicycle

 and juggled with fire.

trying to survive this heat wave we have been to chuck e cheese and an indoor bounce house

 love going to the bounce house to get out penned up energy!!!!

 b got this card for his birthday.

he loved it.

scout camp

the kids loved playing at home when daddy and K were at scout camp.

we found this gal ransacking the bathroom and wiping her face off with clorox wipes.  eeewwww. i guess thats a step up from playing in the toilet.

 we went and got ice cream.

3 ice cream cones out of 4 were dropped in the mulch.

 B was trying to grab the fireflies off the plant.

water day

we had over a group of friends for a water day at our house. 

we had 3 pools, a slip n slide, sprinklers going, kids everywhere-it was so fun!

we ate rolls, popcorn, popsicles, cookies and played in the water.

we had a great time!

can't think of a better way to spend a summer day
