Watkins Glen

Why is it that I constantly find myself saying,
'this is one of the prettiest places i have been too...'
okay, really this is truly one of those places.
Honest
Watkins Glen
IT was POURING when we were eating lunch and were a little leery of the weather. We got done eating and voila, rain stopped and it was perfect outside.
Beginning of the glen

A spooky little spot..
Do they dare go in to the spooky old cave, yes, they dare. amazingly beautiful waterfalls and scenery

i love this picture of J, has to be just like daddy

G's favorite part of course were the puddles..
one more pair of shoes down the drain, but he has so much fun

it was amazing. a great little ovenight trip.

Robert Treeman State Park

We took a little mini-cation to an area outside of Ithaca, NY. It was gorgeous!
We visited a place called robert treeman state park. They had this amazing little park that we couldn't resist.

Always a monkey

Have you ever spun til you're dizzy- we did.

still climbing

great little waterfall/swimming hole.. it was freezing. C mentioned it may have been a degree warmer than spring runoff.

G thought he was so brave to walk into the water to his chest... so daring.

We also did a fun little hike to a place called Lucifer Falls

amazing views

not to mention we met Jeff Corwin's twin on the trail (funnily enough, from SLC!) he wrestled this 4 1/2 ft rat snake and was showing it to us. he was like an encylopedia.. so interesting.

it was a great little place to visit

Pageant 2009

We of course couldn' t miss the Hill Cumorah Pageant. It was a request of K's.
We saw some people from the ward that C grew up in, they had just been released from their mission and wanted to come to the pageant. The world is so small.

What a gorgeous night.

Beaver Island again...

as most of you mommies know, summer days can get very long..
the way to curb that .... go to the beach

Packed lunch- $10.00
Entry into the beach- $7.00
6 hours of peace and quiet- priceless

what a relaxing day. no fights, no quarrels, no 'i'm bored'.
just kids playing and having fun.
yipee!

for those of you who know K-he's a clean little kid.  he has been since birth.  we always say that he could spend all day in a sandbox and come out sparkling... please take a look at the picture, not a speck on him, how he does it, I'll never know. mr clean, mr clean
g lovin' his dump truck

splashing in the puddles they built-it would spray everywhere. j had dirt ALL over her face, hair and legs...but yet K-clean as a whistle

two cute bathing beauties!

Mercy Flight

we had a playgroup at mercy flight, kinda like life flight in UT.

Trying on the helmets... perfect fit

k and is buddies
The kids got to see the helicopter landing.
it was very cool

checking out how to fly it..
i wouldn't  put it past g to figure out how to take off
this was very cool for the kids to see

Old Home Days Parade

Williamsville had a gigantic parade last week.
They had more firetrucks in one parade than i have ever seen.
this was G's fav, he wanted a picture of it.

ready and waiting for the loot

Out with a bang!

unfortunately one thing about NY that I don't love is ALL fireworks are illegal-that's right, even sparklers.
We headed to PA to get a few things for the kids.
We got more than we bargained for.

what kid doesn't want a sparkler on the 4th?!

fireworks

great night for fireworks at UB.
they put on a great show-one of the best i've ever seen

gorgeous night

mesmerized
j waiting for them to start

k and his buddies-what a great group of kids!
