gives me a chuckle

Last night as I was making dinner, J walked up to me.

She looked at me pouring in soy sauce, pineapple juice, garlic salt, and brown sugar into a dish .

She said 'that looks disguisting' what is it?

I said 'dinner'.

She looked at me, quite shocked and said, 'what are you making for dinner?'

I said, 'teriyaki chicken'.

She looked at me, frowned again and said, 'very yucky chicken?'

I guess they do sound very similar when said out loud.

side note; it was quite tasty :)

pinewood derby

once again, the annual pinewood derby took place for K!

He was so excited. His is the red one. We found some cool designs, but he wanted classic, so that's what we did.

I think this was right after he found out he won 1st place for his group, he was so excited but trying not to show it.

Boy Continued

This little guy. I left him sitting peacefully eating, I heard a 'mmmmmmmm' and then a waterfall of small crackers. I walked into the room and found him standing on the counter getting his FAVORITE teddy graham crackers.

This little man of ours NEVER STOPS!

whether he is getting into my pots and pans

or finding my tape measure to use as a bracelet

or pulling out ALL the babywipes every time i forget to put them away

he has also pulled off two of our family pictures off the wall and a picture in the relief society room that broke when it hit the ground.... he is a true explorer.

He climbed K's drawers to his dresser and pulled his trophies off the top (he also has fish tank up there that I'm sure it's only time til he gets to it). I am worried the dresser could fall on him. He climbs and climbs and climbs.

He is a whirlwind!

a little girl time

J had a friend over and it was ALL girly!

They painted nails, played with little pet shops and had mac and cheese.

When her friend got up there, J ran upstairs and changed her shirt to match her friends.

Choosing the perfect polish

J was determined to paint her friends nails. She sat still for about 5 minutes and then wanted to be finished! So I stepped in and finished them off, then we had to wait for the drying process, then this funny girl just started yelling 'bored, bored' it was so funny! So we wiped the polish off and then she went back to little pet shops

J had such a fun little time with her friend.

my life

this is a glimpse into my most fabulousity life.

this is a typical grocery shopping day for me.

i cram as many groceries as i can around my kids while meticulously balancing what wont fit around them.

at the end of this trip J was carrying her winter hat stuffed full of yogurt.

yep. that's how we roll.

my other nemesis.

i mean, every week! does this really have to come EVERY week!

the bummer about this particular day was one load of laundry into the mountain of laundry, my dryer busted, AND i had the elders coming for dinner which meant i had to haul all of this back upstairs to give the illusion of clean.

Ok, so I realize it's not really quite spring yet, but our weather here has been fantastic! The kids have been loving playing outside, life doesn' t get much better than this

scouts

K got some big achievements at scouts. I had yet to attend a meeting, C is kinda over that. but because it was a big one, we made the trek over with all the kiddos in tow.

G was happy to find some friends there, they were all entranced with the DS

B just kinda ran around like a wild man

K did a great job.

he got his webelos and 6 other patches. he has been working hard.

now onto the pinewood derby

I can't believe she is over 7 months old!

I never posted her 6 month stats, but she was 17 lbs. it's all in her thighs. i love it!

roll after roll after roll. it's the best!

she rolls over and kinda sits. she will sit for a minute, but then loses focus and kinda topples over. she has NO teeth! i am still waiting, but not even a glimmer of one.

marathon day

HA! tricked you ;), No, not a REAL marathon, just an incredibly long, exhausting, yet fun day!

Saturday we had big plans.

We left our house at 8 am and headed to DC to go to the temple there. I did a session, while I was in the temple, C went for a cafe rio run. yummmmmmmm! he got back just as I was walking out of the temple. we ate in the car and then headed to DC. after a mere hour drive (that should have only been 20 minutes, but it's dc traffic), we finally made it to DC, then...parking....after driving for a while we found parking.

It was also a gorgeous day for the last of January, I think it was around 60ish! SO SO SO nice!

Then we made the mile trek to the natural history museum

g wanted to go so bad to see the dinosaur bones, he was mimicking the t-rex

then we did crazy faces

this little cutie went WILD when we got him out of the stroller. he ran around like a crazy man. running from wall to wall, ducking under counters, playing with lights, climbing up stairs, playing peek a boo through these towers. it was so funny. he nailed his chin on some stairs as he was wildly climbing up them, poor kiddo, but it didn't slow him down at all

After DC, we headed to costco and on our way home. we pulled in about 9:40. long day, but totally worth it! i love DC!
