last day

we spent our last day at the beach. we initially thought we would go for a while, then leave and take the kids to the pier or up to hollywood.
the kids were not interested.
they were having a ball all day. everyone was entertained. no one wanted to leave.
it was so fun. the waves were so calm.
i even went out and played in the surf.
Grandma did too. she didn't see a wave and it rolled her over. she lost her nice sunglasses :( it was sad, but she was a good sport.
such a fun day.

loved seeing the palm trees and being back on the beautiful califonia coast.
loved being there with the kids and really having such a great time!
we love California.
can't wait to visit again!

DISNEY

we spent 3 glorious days in disney/california adventure. it was so much fun.
we took everyone on every ride, as long as they were tall enough, it was a blast!
heading there on the first day.
kids were so excited.

on the new radiator springs ride. the kids loved it
we did some shopping of course.
they all got new hats...k didn't want this one. not sure why ;)

so fun with grandma and grandpa there!
happy kids. new hats, suckers, grandparents and disney. not too shabby

claire loved this up and down ride..
it got her ready for the tower of terror ;)

train rides are always a nice way to give your legs a break and get to see some cool sights

 splash mountain.
i love everyone's face.
it's funny, b and c really loved this ride and wanted to go again. their face may say something different- but they both wanted to go again when it was over

both j and g got chosen to do the jedi training.
j fought darth vader and g fought darth mal
 cute face painting
the kids loved all the selfies we were taking.

it was disney's 60th anniversary. the put on an amazing light parade. kids wanted to leave and i made them stay. they were  all glad we did (i knew they would love it) light up toys and ice cream helped..
 thunder mountain railroad. so fun!

this was space mountain. C kept wanting to go again. her face says something different.
we got to meet snow white.

kids loved this parade in california adventure

 tower of terror.
love this ride
(not sure where the pic is when we had b and c with us)
we met mickey on our way out.

 goodbye disney. until next time.
thanks for the great time and memories!

more beach

ahhhh. refreshing. rejuvinating.
we found this great beach near newport beach called crescent beach. tide pools on both sides, in a cove so waves weren't breaking so hard, amazing life guards. perfect. we got there early and stayed the entire day. the kids loved it.

giving pointers to her sister about how to not get knocked over by the tide
 so excited to be there

this 9 year old of mine couldn't stay out of the surf.
he played in there for hours.
he loved it. he got rolled once and it took him down for about an hour. he had scrapes up his back and was kinda bruised up. hour or so later, he was good to go and back in the waves.

my boys were really impressed with all the nice cars they saw driving around.
this poor kid got really sunburned around his eyes. i know, weird. don't know if it was his goggles or what, it was pretty funny.
so nice to be back at the beach!
