My family came into town this past week and it was SO fun! We loved having them here. My dad, sister and niece came. It was a ball and we are exhausted!
Here's the run down of our events:
Tuesday: Palmyra and Church sites
Wednesday: Niagara Falls (always a crowd pleaser) and Devil's Hole State Park
Thursday: Day trip to Kirtland and Johnson Farm
Friday: Letchworth State Park (This was my dad's favorite) & East Aurora
Saturday: Naval Shipyard and Fort Niagara
Sunday: Church and going to look at the Locks in Lockport on the Erie Canal
Funny things about the trip
* My dad was extremely impressed by our GPS (I would have been lost without it, literally)
*He was even more impressed by our DVR (I've tried to tell them they need one, but wonder if it's too technical for them... my dad can't even double click a mouse..really)
* Everywhere we went I was driving solo with a car full of sleeping people
*We ate our guts out
*My sis lost her camera somewhere between the ship yard and the fort
*My dad lost his phone on their flight home
*I didn't know a pregnant girl could do so much, thanks sis.
*At the shipyard G stayed perfectly on the yellow line that guides you on the tour, he wouldn't deviate at all
*My niece was a little scared inside the ship and kept asking me if I knew the way out
*Inside the ship G got to a staircase he thought we were suppose to take, he looked up and found a closed hatch, he looked at me and said, 'well, now what?'
*I have never chased 2 kids more at Niagara Falls than this trip, next time we'll ditch the wagon and stick to the stroller
We enjoyed every minute of this visit. It was so sad to see them leave.
We love having visitors!
